Chicago Days

Yola folks,

We went to downtown Chicago today. It wasn't my first time there within the last two weeks, however the other times we were busy shooting a wedding, and we also went to Lincoln Park zoo, so we've never really had the chance to explore the city and be street crawlers. It was a great day for the most part. We went up both the Hancock and the Sears buildings, ate Chicago deep dish pizza, and at one point I being the small town girl that I am was almost lured away by an enticing man who said he wanted to hail me a taxi. Luckily, Sarah and Cassie were beckoning me over to them to let me know that I'm an idiot for letting a stranger lure me away. Good times.

On a very sad note, my cat Montana passed away today very suddenly. If anyone knows me well at all, they know that I love animals, and my cats are basically like my babies. This was a big blow to me and I'm still trying to get out of the shock. I'm sure it will be much worse when I get home. If any of you think about it, please pray for me.

Anyway, here are some pictures from our day!

This is Montana:

that is super sad about montana. i am sure i will have a cry fest whenever i hear that one of my cats at home dies. especially salem. he's older, but he's my favorite. i cry every time i have to leave my cats behind in nebraska. shay and i would have a cat, but she's allergic.

anyway, i totally understand your pain. i did pray for you and i will pray for you as you go back to nm and face the loss head on.

in other news, i like the vertical sliced pictures. they are really neat.

Oh, Danette!! Your cat is adorable!

Chica, no worries about being fleeced in Chicago. I almost ran an old lady over in my car, and my car was attacked by a bum. These are the things that HAPPEN in Chicago!! Hee hee! (Seriously, you don't want me to be the driver when we're downtown. I totally turn into a space cadet and ignore stoplights. Scary.)

Love the pictures! So much vitality in them; they look like you!
